Dr Mostafa ElShazly
the professor and chairman of the general surgery department at kasr Al Aini Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. He is the founder and head of the hepatic-pancreato-biliary unit. He is one of the founders and the managing director of the liver transplantation program in Kasr Al Aini Faculty of medicine hospitals He is one of the Founders and moderator of the Egyptian Hepato-pancreato-biliary fellowship (MOH) He is a Member of the supreme committee of organ transplantation in Egypt He received his MBBCH from the same university in 1982 after which he persuaded his postgraduate education (Msc, MD 1991) and training in general surgery at the same institution. This is in addition to his broad training in the US and UK in the fields of laparoscopic surgery, HPB, and liver transplantation. Throughout his career, he developed a robust practice and research in advanced laparoscopic and Bariatric surgeries in addition to liver transplantation and HPB surgeries. This is enabled him to convey his experience to other surgeons in different parts of Egypt and the region. Prof Mostafa is one of the founders and elected member of different medical associations (Egyptian society of laparoscopic surgeons, HPB Group of the Egyptian Society of Surgeons, Egyptian organ transplantation society, Hepato-Cellular Carcinoma society of Kasr AlAini, Egyptian medical association for the study of obesity), this in addition to his membership in other local and international societies.
