Prof Dr Mohamed Mahmoud Elwakd
professor of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. Graduated with a grade of “Excellent with Honors” in 1993, and got his degrees in Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology; M.Sc., with “Excellent with Honors” in 1997, and M.D. in 2003. His M.D. research won the prize of the “Egyptian Society of Joint Diseases and Rheumatism” as the best research in Egypt in 2002. He won the “Prize of Honors for International Publications, Cairo University” in 2007, 2013, 2014, and 2017. He actively participated in Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology Departments’ workshops in Cambridge-UK, Leeds-UK, Birmingham-UK, Vienna-Austria, Colon-Germany, Paris-France, Naples-Italy and Copenhagen-Denmark Universities for exchange expertise. He has been certified as a Musculoskeletal Ultrasonographer from the “International Academy of Medical Ultrasound – Austria”, in 2008. He is a member of “Polarized Microscopic Unit – Faculty of Medicine” for diagnosing crystal deposition diseases. He has been a member of the “Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology sector of the Specialized Medical Boards, Minster of Health & Population” since January 2015. He has been a consultant of Rheumatology & Clinical Immunology in ASSIH since 2003.
