Job Summary:

Responsible to assist the manager for planning, directing, controlling, coordinating, and participating in all activities of Food & Beverage personnel; for continuously improving food and beverage sales while keeping cost at a minimum; for ensuring that standards of Food & Beverage preparation and service are maintained; for the restaurant as well as the patient floor.

Responsibilities:

Directs, controls, coordinates, and participates in all Food & Beverage activities with a manager such as:
• Ensures purchase of highest quality Food & Beverage supplies at lowest possible cost; coordinates with Accounting & Purchasing.
• Develops, in coordination with appropriate personnel, plans strategies for selling Food & Beverage, such as new menus
• Recommends revisions in the pricing of food, beverage items based on costs.
• Attends major operational problems and needs to be brought to his attention; attends to patient’s complaints, inquiries, and requests; answers correspondence.
• Approves requisitions, work orders, purchase orders, market lists, etc.
• Develops and maintains the standard and procedures for quality control implement and assist in developing a high standard of sanitation procedure and personal hygiene requirements.
• Appraises personnel’s performance and production; corrects mistakes and inadequacies, ensuring that international standards of Food & Beverage preparation and service are maintained.
• Trains personnel according to established procedures; conducts meetings to discuss problems and future plans, present new ideas, correct mistakes, and inadequacies, give instructions and special assignments, etc
• Prepares annual goals and budget; develops working plans to carry out goals; compares actual achievements against goals periodically; takes necessary corrective action.
• Prepares the Food & Beverage monthly report detailing and explaining figures of sales, costs, and profits and comparing same with forecasts.
• Reviews and analyzes monthly Financial Statements, requisitions and purchase orders, and other performance indicators, takes necessary remedial action.


Qualification:

Bachelor of Tourism & Hotel Management or equivalent plus min 7 years’ experience in a relevant position.
