Radiology Unit

As-Salam International Hospital has a specialized unit for medical imaging used to diagnose and treat diseases seen inside the body.

Our Radiology unit provides a variety of imaging techniques such as X-ray, computed tomography (CT), ultrasound, nuclear medicine including positron emission tomography (PET), and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) for diagnosis and treatment.

Interventional Radiology

Interventional radiology "IR" refers to various techniques using radiological image guidance to target therapy precisely.

Interventional radiology techniques include:

  • Fluoroscopy.

  • Ultrasound.

  • X-ray.

  • CT.

  • PET-CT.

Most IR treatments are minimally invasive alternatives to laparoscopic surgery. Many IR procedures start with passing a needle through the skin to the target.

As-Salam International Hospital's diagnostic radiology covers most of the techniques to produce high-quality images for diagnosis.

The main focus of diagnostic radiography is to identify and monitor diseases, skeletal abnormalities, soft tissues abnormalities, and trauma.

Also, As-Salam International Hospital's therapeutic radiographers are highly qualified to plan and deliver radiotherapy. They constitute over 50% of the radiotherapy workforce, operating with clinical oncologists and medical physicists.
